Spot Lung Cancer Early: Take the Test by NHS

Lung cancer is the UK’s biggest cancer killer, with around 45,000 people diagnosed each year. In Haringey, smoking remains a major risk factor. If you are aged 55–74 and smoke or used to, you will be invited for a free NHS Lung Cancer Screening. The letter will come from your GP, followed by a nurse telephone call, and if needed, a quick CT scan. Early detection makes treatment more effective. These small steps could help spot problems early, when treatment may be more effective.
