Papertunity is a creative and eco-conscious social enterprise that is transforming the way people think about waste. Founded by Olu Shobowale, Papertunity turns discarded paper into artistic creations, educational
experiences and opportunities for community engagement.
What started as a passion for sculpture and creative reinvention has evolved into a mission to inspire people
to see waste as a valuable resource rather than something to throw away.
Working alongside Operations Director Emma Archibald and a growing team, Papertunity delivers workshops, events and collaborative projects that combine creativity with environmental responsibility.
From schools and community groups to businesses and local
organisations, participants learn practical ways to reuse
materials while developing confidence, creativity and sustainability awareness.
The organisation’s mission is simple: to educate, engage and empower communities by transforming recycled paper into meaningful creations. Through hands-on learning and artistic expression, Papertunity demonstrates that sustainability can be fun, accessible and inspiring for all ages.
One of the greatest rewards has been seeing communities embrace new ways of thinking about recycling and environmental stewardship. By turning paper into possibilities, Papertunity is helping to build a greener future, one creation at a time.
