Repair with Care

Haringey Fixers is celebrating three years of making a positive impact on the environment. This community-led initiative has become a vital part of eco-friendly living in Haringey. Their free Repair Cafés are more than just events; they are educational hubs where residents can learn about fixing, skill swapping, and upcycling. Volunteers offer expert advice and hands-on help to mend cherished broken or faulty household items.
Through collaborative efforts, they manage to repair around half of the items brought in. This not only fosters a sense of community but also significantly contributes to environmental preservation. Becoming a repairer or helper is a rewarding experience, allowing individuals to make a tangible difference for the planet and their local community.
