My Own Business

M.O.B My Own Business Sweet Mind

We caught up with Natasha John‑Baptiste, who opened up about her inspiring entrepreneurial journey.
“Mental wellbeing is not a luxury it is the foundation for growth and change.”
When did you start your business?

Sweet Mind started as COVID hit March 2020.
Why did you start your business?
I started the business as I saw a need to help people understand that their mental health and wellbeing mattered.
What training was required?
I have trained as a Life coach, NLP practitioner and have a PGC in Education and training. I also apply ongoing CPD to keep up to date as a life coach
What does a typical day look like?
As a multi-faceted entrepreneur, no two days are the same. Some days I facilitate coffee mornings and warm welcome afternoons. I work one to one and deliver workshops and courses. We also do a monthly wellness walk, and I formulate my skin care range on days I call wild Wednesdays.
What challenges have you faced in the
business?

It’s a really lonely place out there when

you’re trying to create something beautiful. Finding where to start and who to speak to makes it challenging. Being fluid like water though can carve a way through rock.
What have been the greatest rewards?
One of the greatest rewards is seeing clients make great progress setting realistic goals that enhances their lives
The best advice you’ve received about
running your business that you’ve taken
on board?

The best advice I have been given is you don’t need permission, I bring my own chair to the table
