The Best Is Yet To Come

Haringey over 50s Forum is a lobbying and campaigning voice for seniors in Haringey on many
local and regional issues, ranging from availability of NHS appointments and keeping the Freedom
Pass through to more public loos and more seats in the Wood Green shopping mall. We aim to offer
constructive criticism when needed to the Council, the NHS, TfL and other services. But we also aim to enjoy ourselves and make friends.
We have a monthly meeting usually with a speaker, and a monthly newsletter loaded with practical information about local services, leisure activities like classes, walks, exhibitions and shows, and advice about energy saving and benefits. Members can contribute to the newsletter too – poems, opinion pieces, reminiscences or pictures. Currently we’re collecting accounts of people’s experiences during the pandemic.
We have socials sometimes too – tea in a cafe at least once a month, picnics in summer, a Xmas gathering and we’ve just started a monthly cinema club at the Finsbury Park Picture House.
So join the Forum for £8 per year, and find over 100 people for chat, entertainment and solidarity!
