A Tapestry of Windrush Talent Celebrates 45 Years of Community Impact
by Rudi Page
Residents are invited to experience an inspiring celebration of heritage, achievement and community leadership as Rudi Page marks
“45 Years in Haringey”, bringing together an extraordinary tapestry
of Windrush talent, experience and creativity.
The special event will showcase the contributions of leading figures from across business, education, culture, faith and community development. Featured guests include music producer and performer Ciyo Brown, international hairstylist and brand owner
Derek Clement, Independent Windrush Commissioner Rev. Clive Foster, community champion Rose Morgan, REACH Society Chairman Dr Dwain Neil OBE, author and executive director Victor Richards, and Dr Gertrude Shotte, cofounder of SPECA KPS STrEAM Academy.
At the heart of the celebration is the Windrush Anchor Heritage Education Programme (WAHEP), an innovative initiative built around the themes of Hope, Strength and Belonging. The programme recognises the lived experiences of Windrush communities as valuable sources of knowledge, leadership, entrepreneurship and cultural capital.
Operating across the United Kingdom, Caribbean, Africa and North America, WAHEP promotes collaboration, education, enterprise and sustainable livelihoods through its growing Windrush Communities Ecosystem. By connecting generations and sectors, the programme seeks to strengthen communities and inspire future leaders.
This promises to be an entertaining, informative and transformational day, highlighting the lasting contribution of Windrush communities to British society and celebrating the achievements, resilience and vision that continue to shape the future.
Join us to celebrate 45 years of service, leadership and community impact in Haringey, while honouring the Windrush legacy and empowering future generations.
