Our Mental Health by Nailhah Daley-Allen

Nailah Daley-Allen is an abstract artist, her work expresses her life experiences, communicating the complexities of life, tackling subjects such as motherhood, culture ,divorce, and Mental health (recently closing Hope, Fear & Dreams an exhibition bringing awareness to mental health.) Nailah uses radiant colours with large gestural strokes to create her highly emotive pieces. Nailah is always exploring new subjects and materials, the past 2 years, she hasused recyclable materials in her artworks. Nailah is the founder of NiArtFr3edom Ltd. a creative company she set up in 2008.

The company coordinates community art workshops for adults, children and families all around London. Sessions are delivered within schools, local community projects/events and businesses, workshops are tailored to each client’s creative needs. Nailah has been partnered with
St Francis at the Engine Room for just under 10 years and continues to run a Monday term time art workshop for 6 – 11 yr olds, offering community art workshops; giving individual’s opportunities to learn new skills to communicate and for self-expression.

The weekly children and adult workshops are designed to help people of all ages connect with themselves, building their own creative self-awareness but also sharing their creative journey collectively. The program also invites young returning students(age 12+)
to take a young leadership role which helps offer another level of support in our young creative’s journey. Nailah was awarded Highly Commended in the category “Improving the lives of children and young people in Haringey” at Haringey Community Impact Awards 2018 for delivering this service.
