Eco Urban Festival 2021 Highlights

The week-long festival promoting sustainability attracted 500 people. The launch ceremony was followed by an Earthing workshop – connecting to the earth with Andrea Ling in Chestnuts Park. Monday’s seed swap engaged people outside the café, Community green space mapping – part of the Clarion housing/Organic Lea program for Tottenham Green; providing sustainability information as a starting point with the public, and Sandra Soilsistars with These Girls Do Green at Broadwater Farm Green Fair and Startup networking event. On Tuesday The eco-house popped up in Chestnuts Community Centre!

Energy-saving advice – Public Voice and SHINE took part.

Wednesday was about Green jobs and training– ARUP, Friends of the Earth, Green Economics
Institute took part.

Thursday was filled with Recycling/Upcycling –

Veolia, Sian Dormansustainable fashion, Giles Leaman musical

instruments and art from recycled materials,

Sewn Together pop-up shop, and pattern
cutting workshop. Friday; Active travel and leisure day, – Peddle My Wheels, Pinhole Camera, massage, Wendy Throughgood. Council smarter travel team, food donated by Ganna of Broadwater Farm food bank. Pedal Me Cargo Bike Coconut Man, Homes for Haringey, Dr Bike, Entertainment by Phil.
On Saturday the team had a stall promoting sustainability at the Catalyst Housing Peace and Wellness Festival in St Ann’s hospital Peace Garden and attended the Greenhouse Open Day at Wolves Lane Centre. Sunday
was the Big Walk for Clean Air and Bike Ride.
